Refunds
Last updated: {{effective date}}
The short version
- Cancel during your 3-day free trial and you're never charged, so there's nothing to refund.
- Charged and wish you hadn't been? Ask within 14 days of any charge and you get that charge back. No questions. Option A shown · Megan's choice
- Cancelling is separate from a refund: it takes two clicks in Settings → Billing, and it stops the next charge.
How to ask
Email hello@aifluentiv.com from the address you signed up with, or reply to your receipt. A sentence is enough, for example: "Please refund my last Fluent payment." You don't have to give a reason. Nobody will try to talk you out of it.
What happens next
- We refund the charge to the card you paid with, through Stripe, our payment company.
- We cancel your membership at the same time, so you won't be charged again. Option B, yearly pro-rata: the refund covers the full months left; access ends when the refund is made.
- We'll email you when it's done. Your bank decides how quickly the money shows on your statement.
- Days 4 to 30 close on your account. Days 1 to 3 stay open.
- Your account, your answers, your progress and your show-offs stay, unless you delete your account in Settings → Your data.
Megan: say how quickly you'll process a request, e.g. "within {n} working days", only if you can keep to it. Until then leave it out.
Things that aren't ours to refund
- AI tool subscriptions. If you paid ChatGPT, Canva or any other tool, that payment went to that company. Ask them; most have a cancel button in their own settings. The lessons show where, for several tools.
- Anything a bank or card adds, such as a currency conversion fee.
